The default directory for all of your documents, music and pictures are located on your C: Drive. Keeping your data on your systemdrive makes it harder to reinstall your computer and you might run out of drive space, which can screw up your entire windows. I was complaining to a colleague of mine about software which doesnt allow you to move their data files from the system drive. Picasa2 by Google is one of those programs. Usually when I do a reinstall or screw up my system drive with one of my great ideas I tend to lose that data and I’m getting tired of that. I bought a new Personal Computer a little while ago, with that I purchased Vista Home Premium. Been running Xp professional for a while and figured home premium would be the equivalent to professional. Mostly it is but the one thing I used a lot was RDP and that was a no show. But with all things digital, problems are solved faster than they are created.
I found a blog post on techsoar.com detailing how you could ‘enable’ remote desktop for Vista 64 Bit Home Premium. Ofcourse the instructions on their site didnt work for me, so i have the fiddle with it a little. Basically it comes down to:
And that’s it, you should be able to connect to your Desktop. I really can’t believe they took out Remote Desktop.
