Change the Windows Seven logon screen

The default logon screen for Seven is kinda… eh meh. Actually the whole new default theme is kinda lame. Luckily you can change it by abusing a registry setting for OEM suppliers. I’ve included a registry file you can import into your registry so you don’t have to enter it manually.

When you have imported the registry key, just copy an image file to C:\Windows\System32\Oobe\Info\Backgrounds and rename it to backgroundDefault.jpg (or any other extension your image file may have). There are some limitations to the image file, your best bet is to resize it your screen resolution and make sure the image size remains under 245K. After all this just log off and enjoy.
